Hooking up the new hydraulic brake
pipe layout was ably assisted by
Venhill Engineering who made both their special brake hoses and also
their Superlight cables and instrument drive cables. |
The handle bar lever now pushes fluid
to a 3-way union in front of the headstock where it splits two ways, to
the rear brake and the front RH caliper. Passing fluid through that
caliper via a bridge hose to its front partner caliper. This being the
modern way to plumb bike brakes. |
The rear hose passes fluid through the
rear master cylinder and onward to the caliper. Depressing the foot
pedal overrides the forward hose feed and just operates the rear
caliper. |
