JENAL has a Webasto air heating and air conditioning system
throughout her living accommodation which required the installation of
large air handling units. DBA member and friend, Chris Grant came to our
rescue and prevented Ament installing these units snuggly under the floor.
Pulling air from a cold bilge area in winter would have been an absolute
no, no!
Chris has installed these two 3kw air
handlers under part of the master bed, ducting air from the base of the
shoe cabinet at the foot of the bed, through a false floor and wall-back
into an eventually sealed wooden chamber where the black air handlers can
be seen. Blowing out each side of the bed base. A much better idea, albeit
loosing some under-bed storage area which is accessed via hinged
gas-sprung rams, to assist the mattress lifting.
There are trap doors in the floor,
each side of the plinthed bed where additional storage space can be best
utilised.
