October~13 This further picture illustrates some of the 8 x white down-lighters around the gunnel walkways, which aid safety in darker times. The picture also illustrates the sun-deck lighting which gently changes colour to add an ambiance to this aft relaxation area. The illustrated green sun-deck lighting, like all the colour-wheeled UFO fibre optic lighting on Jenal, has a switch to turn the colour-wheel off. Allowing a choice of static colour from white through the mood inducing colour spectrum. The partially opened flap centrally below the wheelhouse rear window is the aft spud leg (spud pole in Dutch) inspection flap, for any future hydraulic servicing. The green cast-iron parasol stand to the right of the spud-leg top will have 2 main duties of not only supporting the 3m diameter parasol but also a more mundane use. One of literal and domestic support, a stand for the rotating clothes line. |
