The F33
Can-Am was based on the
companies F30 Clubman car using chassis technology developed
from the Fugitive range of off-road racing cars.
Getting the
side mounted radiators to properly cool the engine was a challenge but
perseverance paid off. The regulatory height requirements for the pop-up
headlamps was another challenge and a fairly basic cable pull did the
job. It also saved weight as did a polished piece of stainless
mounted beneath the indicator/sidelight Perspex covered front slot,
which directed the lowered headlamp beam forward for daytime headlight
flashing.
Possibly not the prettiest car
around but certainly functional and fast. |
