CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION - story page number two
The start of the stripping of the bike down to bare chassis. Note the small fuel tank hidden under the standard 900 Sei fibre glass paneling.  Just 3.6 gallons (16.5ltr) compared to the planned 750 Sei replacement of nearer 4.8 gallons (22ltr), better for touring. Interestingly the 900's tank is made of aluminium admittedly uncovered it had a child's idea of being a 'stealth' design but the key point is Benelli, they understood at the time that modern fuels had a bad effect on plastic tanks, opting for metal.
