CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION - story page number thirty-five
The Benelli is blessed (?) with a duplex rear drive chain, a design idea of some 40 years ago and believed to be the answer to chain stretch from this would be Superbike. They are now a rare commodity and unique to Benelli so Alan wanted to preserve it and fitted a Scottoiler to lubricate and extend the chain's life.

The Scottoiler operates by vacuum control from the induction manifold, only releasing a tiny amount of chain lubricant when the engine is running. Strapped by chrome tie-wraps on to the rear diagonal down tube.

Topping up the container once every 800 miles or so is all that is needed. Note the now painted black watertight ignition box.
