The
Benelli Special looks like a hospital patient on a
Saline-drip. In actual fact it is a 1 litre remote fuel supply which
allows the bike to be started without the proper fuel tank in the way.
Enabling engine tuning to be carried out in an easier manor. |
Alan used a
Morgan Carbtune to make balancing the 3 carburetors a simpler task and
then reverted to an old tried and tested method of fuel mixture settings
with the use of a Gunson Colourtune. |
All went well but a small amount of
exhaust smoke indicated potential future issues. |
You may notice Alan has retained the
900's bikini fairing as opposed to the true 750 being bare-breasted! At
his age he needed some comfort and the fairing wears its new colour
scheme quite well. |
