CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION - story page number forty-four
Hooking up the new hydraulic brake pipe layout was ably assisted by Venhill Engineering who made both their special brake hoses and also their Superlight cables and instrument drive cables. The handle bar lever now pushes fluid to a 3-way union in front of the headstock where it splits two ways, to the rear brake and the front RH caliper. Passing fluid through that caliper via a bridge hose to its front partner caliper. This being the modern way to plumb bike brakes. The rear hose passes fluid through the rear master cylinder and onward to the caliper. Depressing the foot pedal overrides the forward hose feed and just operates the rear caliper.
