Jan Ament of Ament Metaalbewerking persuades Alan (taking picture) that the stanchions need lowering because they are a little too high. We agree to lower them by 50mm as a compromise.  His stainless fabricator on the right will complete this work.

The height of the stanchions is compromise between visual appeal, safety and the need for a clear rearward view from the wheelhouse navigation centre. Jan's facial expression is not normal, it is one of trying to get Alan to agree!!

There are small drain holes below each stanchion mounting point, the larger diameter holes are for the 7 fibre optic lighting lamps which will illuminate the sundeck area at night.
