PICTURE

February~07

This, birds-eye view picture is taken from the wheelhouse, with the removable steel floor section taken away, to assist the Ament technicians to build up JENAL. The 2 Volvo-Penta D3-110 engines are mounted transversely and have their hydraulic pumps mounted where their gearbox's would normally reside.

In the foreground and lying between the engines is the hydraulically driven 13.5Kva generator. Barely seen to its rear and equally flexibly mounted to the floor, is one of the hydraulic distributor/valve units.

The engine room walls are clearly seen, panelled in a special perforated metal sheet which covers the 3M Thinsulate insulation.
