At last, the windows go in. It was fortunate that Alan was on hand because they started to install the windows in the wrong position.  Each 4 sided window layout in the main living area should have 2 opening windows at each end and two fixed in the middle. Here is the mistake, caught early!

The glass is known as Silverstar Select and is provided with a heat absorbing foil within its construction, this reduces the suns heat rays by 33-40%. The aluminium window frames are made from two main pieces with a gasket between the two, to prevent temperature transfer and consequential window condensation.
