The forward (bow) twin anchor winch, now mounted and ready for action. Their chain is housed in the chain locker directly below. Any water residue bought onboard when the anchors are used, drains to the bottom of the locker and exits JENAL via outlet pipes each side and just below the anchors.

The winch is painted traditional black with the winch wheels painted to match the ivory superstructure and the spokes of the winch wheels picked out in the same silver as the sides of JENAL. The winch handles are stainless and the chrome Francis 9" ex fire engine spot lamp is attached to its own mounting and can be easily removed/replaced by the forward pennant mast.
