The top of the stairway shows the stainless banister rail emerging from the floor below with its corresponding and matching portside guardrail. The forward guardrail is hinged to the grey centre column and gives access the bookcase which will sit above the stairway. This guardrail still requires some form of extra material added to its base for safety purposes. Both will eventually be topped with a 150mm wide teak shelf to complete their appearance.

The teak navigation centre is now sporting most of its instrumentation and hydraulic steering boss, ready to accept the 700mm diameter matching stainless steel wheel.
