PICTURE

December ~ 13

This picture is like looking behind a theater stage seeing the hidden workings of the play you have just witnessed.

The black polypropylene water tank had been previously filled with 2,000ltrs which had been consumed. We refilled it with its capacity 4,000ltrs but the vertical sight-glass you can see in the middle of the tank, spewed water out of its top gland. There had been no seal fitted to the top of the sight-glass and no way of fitting a new one now, particularly with 4,000ltrs of water spewing out.

'A's solution was one of PTFE & white PVC tape, mummifying the wayward joint which stopped it until a future empty tank may allow access and repair.
