Trimming the starboard side to compensate for the portside positioned engines necessitated an access hole to be cut through the lovely oak floor in the round galley. 2,700kg of lead ingots were squeezed in there while Eddij made an excellent beaded oak hatch door to complete the job.

There was a bonus with the hatch modification, enabling easy access to the main fresh water pump and other located services needing occasional attention.
