Those of a certain age and from the UK will recall a black & white TV police series called 'The Blue Light'. Well, this blue lamp has nothing to do with it?  'A' bought it on eBay while whiling away his time awaiting the metaphoric birth of Jenal. The lamps history is unknown but believed it could be from a submarine. With the blue glass bowl reducing glare and having 4 x lamps encased in a cast brass cage and water tight brass housing - mounting.

'A' modified it to accept 2 x 220v LED lamps and after much discussion with Frits, the Belgium electrician, it was decided to mount it to the ceiling just above the 3 stairs to the aft (guest) cabin. To the left and out of sight in this picture is a white ceiling mounted soft concertina venetian blind which pulls down to give guests total privacy. Offering them uninterrupted and blue light illuminated access to the aft 'facilities' as they may need during the early hours. 'A's further nod to maritime history aboard Jenal.
